Mom's Morning Studies
In my studies in the morning I have been reading discourses by Elder Eyring. I love his talks, he is so inspirational and humble. He spoke about about three things that are certain to happen in our future. The first was that with absolute certainty we will go through trials of faith. He state that the real trial of faith is anything that diverts you from doing what God would have you do. With that in mind I think that even when we thing things are going well for us, its a trial of our faith. Because things are easy are we being diverted from what God would have us do? Elder Eyring says that we should see trials as blessings because "faith is things which are hoped for and not seen, wherefore dispute not because you see not,for you recieve no witness until after the trial of your faith." (Ether 12:6) There has to be balance. Do you know that to much success can make us arragont and therefor we create a more difficult trial for ourselves. When I pondered on the definition of a trial I can see when I thought things were great I was diverted from what God would have me do. I'm excited to read more. You all should get the book.."To Draw Closer To God" it is amazing. I hope to learn a lot from it.
